Absolutely fabulous place to visit. Underground catacombs filled with little shops and stalls full of artisan goods at very favourable prices! I bought a complete outfit of nearly new 'next' clothing, shirts and jackets, off the Yorkshire air ambulance stalls for less than £20 - beat that! Food stalls and cafes are really 1st class. All in all, best value in Scarborough!

Great place to explore authentic individual shops. Amazing how this place is transformed at night time for shows. We went back at night time to see a Tina Turner tribute act.

Old fashioned market hall with independent stalls. Fruit, veg and artisan bakers, also lots of little independent shops. Step down into the lower floor and it's full of charity shops, well worth a visit.

What a revival compared to my last visit!(which wasn't the best) now its Full of great food and shops. Lovely and clean. Great to see the market like it was back in the old days with veg and fruit, meats and everything else.

Just an indoors market. Nothing special about it. Fruit, veg, fish and butchers downstairs and decorative? Things upstairs. There's even a psychic apparently.

Not been to the market for years and boy has it changed for the better its bright, airy and colourful. The first floor has plenty artisan and speciality stalls very enjoyable.

When we eventually found this place it was great to see a diversity of shops inside and when we went into the vault under market hall I could have spent all day in one shop, fantastic place

I do love a good market, particularly an indoor one!I often pop into Scarborough Market when I visit the town. It is a beautiful light and airy hall with the ground floor being the more traditional fruit, veg etc whilst the upper level has lots of lovely independent shops. There’s also a lower level-The Vaults which is just an amazing space to explore.I’ve only ever visited midweek when the market can be quiet but I’m sure that it will be very busy on a SaturdayWell worth a visit!

It's OK. Been to better markets. Nice fish fruit and veg stalls, two of them a butcher and fishmongers. Didn't go upstairs but the rest of downstairs and the vaults was more craft type goods.

Had a very continental feeling about the market, very nice to stumble upon this structure, loved the tunnels underneath. Reminded me of the Spanish inside markets worth a visit.

Been to two excellent tribute nights here and both been excellent- well organised and great night out - pizza delicious and drinks great. V busy at bar but staff coped well under pressure

So glad we found this market, the main hall has a fantastic selection of items. Downstairs is a warren of small shops selling all sorts of goods. It’s a great place to grab some lunch in the main hall. Will definitely be going back.

The Lift has been out of order for some time and doesn’t appear to be getting fixed anytime soon. This means less able people cannot access the mezzanine, in this modern age it is simply unacceptable. None of the traders on the mezzanine have any solution to assist customers, nor have they made any effort to work around the situation. When this was pointed out on a social media post promoting the mezzanine the post was deleted. Shocking behaviour

After visiting Scarborough over the years we never even considered venturing in here.Well we have been missing out!Loads of qwerky indie shops in the main hall and the vaults.Really not what you'd expect when people say market. We have a lovely lunch from the deli in there, and made some purchases from a couple of the shops. Most definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. A hidden gem from the seafront and high street, and supporting local trades people.

Bakers and brew cafe is a little gem! Food cooked fresh and to order. Tasty and very good value for money. They have a basic breakfast but for the hungrier of us, they have other items to add if you so wish. Staff are exceptionally welcoming and attentive. Good quality food and a really good cuppa too! Nice friendly atmosphere well worth a visit.Highly recommend.

What an amazing hidden gem this place is. Upstairs in the main market hall there are 2 floors to explore. Offers fresh fruit, meat and fish as well as many small I dependant businesses. Then when you step outside don't forget to go down the side of the building to visit the Market Vaults. A quirky vibrant selection of both collectable, gift and handmade shops fill this underground lair. Well worth a visit. There is a cafe on all 3 levels (loos up the top 20p)
